- I didn't get any instructions on cable installation with my Dell DX9 drive.
- Neither did the plug have a dot on it, yellow, white or otherwise. I called the
- distributor I got the drive from and he said to plug the cable into the drive
- `resitor side up.' On this particular cable plug the resistors mounted on the
- plug board are visible. I followed his instructions and it worked. Just to
- be on the safe side you might want to consult the company you bought it from.
-
- An interesting operational idiosyncracy:
-
- Perhaps because of the drives micro-casing it is very sensitive to interference.
- I origonally placed the drive on the front-left surface of my A3000 and it
- wouldn't read nor write HD disks. Once I removed it off the top of the computer
- the drive read and wroted to HD disks fine. So watch where you put it. If it
- doesn't seem to work properly try another location.
-
- Good luck.
